Alejandro and Miguel Campbell formed Midnight Tea in 1991. This bass-and-drum, brother combo makes for a tight rhythm section and unique vocal harmonies. Ward Nelson joined the band in 1994 adding a splash of Irish rock and blues.
Midnight Tea has had air play on Cities97, Zone 105, 104 The Point, Kare 11 News and light- to heavy-rotation on most college radio stations in the Midwest area.
David Streeby, who has worked with such talents as Johnny Lang, Sheryl Crow and Martin Zellar, engineered and mixed Midnight Tea's first album Time.
Midnight Tea also wrote the score for the Award winning nationally released movie Don't Turn Back, a movie on World Youth Day in Rome, which combines songs from their first and second albums.
Midnight Tea has also headlined many charity events including the Rock4Life concert for Safe Slumber at St. Thomas University in St. Paul, Cornfest 2001,and 2002, a fundraiser for the St. Jude of the Lake parish in Mahtomedi and the Wild Rice Festival, benefiting St. Mary's in Stillwater.
Midnight Tea's first album Time is available at all Musicland, Sam Goody and Best Buy stores. Their second album 3 days will arrive in the summer of 2003. |
